Nikiforos leads the tech engagements that pertain to Public Sector customers in Greece/Cyprus/Malta for AWS, ranging from core Central Government workloads to accelerating the pace of Research within the Education community. Amongst the most notable projects he’s been part of are Greece’s national vaccination platform (emvolio.gov.gr), featuring 0% downtime after 3+ years of continued use, and the AWS Naxos Smart Island project, the first of its kind worldwide for AWS. Nikiforos holds an MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a BSc in Management Science and Technology from AUEB and after 3 years in AWS UK, he’s proud to have been repatriated & contribute to Greece’s digitalisation efforts.
