Nikolaos Tzollas

Deputy Governor for Digital Governance

Nikolaos Tzollas was born on June 28, 1981, in Thessaloniki. He studied Chemistry with a specialization in Chemical Analysis and the Environment at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

His first work experience was in the Food Industry as an Analytical Chemist. At the same time, he completed his Master's degree in Advanced Chemical Analysis. In 2013, he received his PhD while simultaneously working in various responsible positions in the Food Industry, Analytical Laboratories, Research Programs, and as an Adult Educator in Lifelong Learning programs. In 2019, aiming to broaden his scientific knowledge in the field of business administration, he completed an MBA program at the University of Macedonia. With over 15 years of experience in the private sector and having developed innovative products in the Food Industry, in 2019, he was elected as a Regional Councilor in the Region of Central Macedonia with the "Solidarity" party led by Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

During his term, he assumed significant positions of responsibility, such as Special Advisor for Innovation in the Region of Central Macedonia, Chairman of the Development Organization of the Region of Central Macedonia, Member of the Administrative Committees of the Region, and Board Member of the Alexander Innovation Zone and the Public Markets Organization.

In the regional elections of October 2023, he was re-elected as a Regional Councilor and was appointed by the Governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, as Deputy Governor for Digital Governance.

He is married, has two children, and enjoys sports, extroversion, and discussing innovative ideas.
