Olga Kefalogianni
Minister of Tourism
Olga Kefalogianni was born in Athens, Greece in 1975.
She served as Minister of Tourism of Greece (2012-2015).
Ms Kefalogianni was first elected as Member of Parliament in 2007 in Rethymnon, Crete. She was re-elected in 2009. She was elected as MP for the central district of Athens in May/June 2012, January/September 2015 and July 2019.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (1997), a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law, King’s College, University of London (1998) and a Masters degree in International Relations (GMAP) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University - Boston (2006).
She is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1999.
She has an extensive professional experience practicing law, both in Athens and abroad.
Between 2004-2006 she served as legal advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece.
She is the author of the book “The role of the European Union in the Cyprus issue”.
She has served as Head of the Greek Parliament Delegation to the Inter-parliamentary Union (I.P.U.) and as Ambassador of the Greek Parliament to the “Women Political Leaders” (WPL).
She is the Founder and President of the “Center for Gender and Equality Policy Studies” of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO).
